Blog   ≫   To Everything There Is A Season
  April 9, 2020

In the midst of revamping my website, the world changed and the change has only just begun.  As a Christian, I would like to bring to mind Ecclesiastes 3: 1-9 and know there is a season for everything.  During this season of fear, uncertainty and an all-encompassing model of living in a surreal nightmare we can find solace in Christ, in His love and assurance. Psalm 91

Elliot Marcus, director of development for World Impact Real Estate,  sent a blurb regarding housing which I would like to share.  Please take your time reading and absorbing the material, but take it a step further and imagine how purchasing a home can change your world.  Remember this season will pass.

Reasons to own a home:  The survey of the Consumer Finances from the Federal Reserve found the median net worth of a homeowner was $231,400—a 15% increase since 2013.  Now is a great time to own a home, so, if you have buyers sitting on the fence, you might want to share the following reasons to purchase a house/condo. 1. Tax Benefits—the U.S. Tax Code lets you deduct the interest you pay on your mortgage, your property taxes, and some of the costs involved in buying a home.  2. Appreciationhistorically, real estate has had a long term, stable growth in value.  3. Equity—money paid for rent will never be seen again, but mortgage payments let you build equity ownership interest in our home.  4. Savings—building equity in your home is a ready-made savings plan. 5. Predictability—unlike rent, your fixed-rate mortgage payments don’t rise over the years.  Keep in mind, property taxes and insurance costs will likely increase.  6. Freedom—the home is yours.  You can decorate any way you want and choose the types of upgrades and new amenities.  7. Stability—remaining in one neighborhood for several years allows you and your family time to build long-lasting relationships within the community.  It also offers children the benefit of educational and social continuity.
